Christoforos Nikolaou is the head of the Computational Genomics Group at the “Alexander Fleming” Biomedical Sciences Research Center (Athens, Greece). 

From 2010 to 2020 he was Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics at the Biology Department of the University of Crete and was one of the founding members of the UoC MSc Program in Bioinformatics.

His research interests lie in the fields of chromatin and genome organization, gene regulation and genome architecture and evolution. 

He is the coordinator of “Algorithms in Bioinformatics” (BC205)
